Ingredients
1 lb boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Vegetable oil for frying
**Bang Bang Sauce:**
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
1 tbsp sriracha
1 tsp honey
**To Assemble:**
8 slider buns
1 cup coleslaw mix or shredded lettuce
Chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, marinate chicken pieces in buttermilk for 15–30 minutes.
2. In another bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge marinated chicken in flour mixture and fry in batches until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together mayo, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey to make bang bang sauce.
5. Toss fried chicken in bang bang sauce until coated.
6. Toast slider buns if desired. Add a layer of slaw, followed by coated chicken, and top with green onions.
7. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
• For a healthier version, bake or air-fry the chicken pieces.
• Adjust sriracha to control spice level.
• Try with shrimp instead of chicken for a seafood twist!
