Ingredients
1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 large onions, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
For the sauce:
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 cup beef broth
Instructions
1. Season beef with salt, pepper, and cornstarch. Toss to coat evenly.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
3. Add beef in a single layer and sear quickly until browned. Remove and set aside.
4. Add remaining oil to the skillet and sauté onions until soft and slightly caramelized.
5. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
6. Stir together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, ginger, and beef broth.
7. Pour sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
8. Return beef to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
9. Cook for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens and beef is tender.
10. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

• Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
• Add bell peppers or snow peas for extra crunch.
