Ingredients

For the Meatballs:

400 g ground beef

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Subs:

2 cups marinara sauce

4 sandwich rolls or hoagie buns

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Optional:

Fresh basil

Extra parmesan

Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, parmesan, seasoning, salt, and pepper.

2. Form into meatballs.

3. Cook meatballs in a pan until browned.

4. Add marinara sauce and simmer for 10–15 minutes.

5. Place meatballs in sandwich rolls.

6. Top with sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.

7. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes until cheese melts.

8. Garnish with basil or parmesan and serve warm.

Notes

Use store-bought meatballs to save time.

Toast bread lightly for better texture.

Add chili flakes for a spicy version.
