Ingredients
1 sheet refrigerated or homemade pizza dough
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
All-purpose flour (for dusting)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. On a floured surface, roll out pizza dough into a rectangle.
3. Cut dough into 6–8 equal rectangles for individual pockets.
4. Spoon pizza sauce onto one side of each rectangle, leaving edges clear.
5. Add shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning.
6. Fold each rectangle in half to enclose the filling and press edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp edges.
7. Brush tops with egg wash and place on prepared baking sheet.
8. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
9. Cool slightly and serve warm with extra sauce for dipping.
Notes
Swap pepperoni for cooked sausage, mushrooms, or veggies.
Freeze before baking for easy make-ahead snacks.
Air fryer method: cook at 375°F for 8–10 minutes.
