Ingredients
24 frozen tater tots
12 slices thin-cut bacon, halved
24 small cubes of cheddar or pepper jack cheese
2 tbsp brown sugar (optional, for sweet-savory twist)
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Toothpicks for securing
Dipping sauce: ranch, BBQ, or spicy mayo
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
2. Partially thaw tater tots for 5–10 minutes. Stuff each tot with a cube of cheese (press gently).
3. Wrap each stuffed tot with a half slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick.
4. Optional: mix brown sugar and paprika, then sprinkle lightly over wrapped tots.
5. Arrange on the rack seam-side down. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until bacon is crispy.
6. Let cool slightly. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
• Use a wire rack to allow bacon to crisp evenly.
• Swap cheese for jalapeño slices for a spicy version.
• These freeze well—prep ahead and bake from frozen with a few extra minutes.
