Ingredients
For the Brownies:
1/2 cup butter (melted)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Chocolate Mousse:
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup melted chocolate
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Optional:
Chocolate shavings for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking dish.
2. In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar.
3. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix until smooth.
4. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until combined.
5. Pour batter into the baking dish and bake for 18–20 minutes.
6. Let brownies cool completely.
7. In a bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
8. Fold in melted chocolate gently to create mousse.
9. Spread mousse evenly over cooled brownies.
10. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours before slicing.
11. Top with chocolate shavings and serve.
Notes
Do not overbake brownies to keep them fudgy.
Let brownies cool fully before adding mousse.
Chill well for clean slices.
Store in fridge up to 3 days.
