Ingredients
🟡 For the Cookie Dough:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
🟡 For the Cinnamon Swirl:
2 tbsp butter, melted
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
🟡 For the Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk or cream
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Beat in egg and vanilla until smooth.
3. Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined. Chill dough for 20 minutes.
4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
5. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the swirl.
6. Roll dough into tablespoon-sized balls. Flatten each slightly and press a small dent in the center.
7. Spoon a bit of cinnamon mixture into the center and gently swirl with a toothpick or knife.
8. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool completely.
9. Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth and drizzle over cooled cookies.
Notes
Add a pinch of nutmeg to the swirl for extra warmth.
Cookies keep well in an airtight container for 4–5 days.
Double the glaze if you love extra icing (no judgment here!).
