Ingredients
**For the Creamy Garlic Shrimp**
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup chicken or seafood broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp lemon juice
Salt and black pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish
**For the Mashed Potatoes**
2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
4 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 cup milk or cream
Salt to taste
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add potatoes and cook until fork-tender, about 15–20 minutes.
2. Drain and mash with butter, milk or cream, and salt. Set aside and keep warm.
3. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
4. Add shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until just pink. Remove and set aside.
5. In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
6. Deglaze with broth, then stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, and lemon juice. Simmer 2–3 minutes until thickened.
7. Return shrimp to sauce and simmer 1 more minute.
8. Plate mashed potatoes and spoon shrimp and sauce over top. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
Use shell-on shrimp for even juicier texture — just peel before cooking.
Yukon Gold potatoes yield creamier mash, but russet works too.
Add a pinch of chili flakes or cayenne for a spicy kick.
