Ingredients
2 lbs sirloin or stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tbsp olive oil (for searing, optional)
4 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup beef broth
Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Optional: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear steak cubes in olive oil for 2–3 minutes per side to brown (do in batches). Transfer to slow cooker.
2. Add butter, garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth to the crockpot.
3. Stir to combine, cover, and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until steak is fork-tender.
4. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
5. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or with roasted veggies.
Notes
• Searing adds extra flavor but can be skipped for convenience.
• For added richness, stir in a splash of cream or a dollop of sour cream before serving.
• Great for meal prep—steak bites store well in the fridge up to 4 days.
