Ingredients
**For the pasta:**
8 oz medium shell pasta
Salted water for boiling
**For the steak bites:**
1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Optional: red pepper flakes, grated Parmesan
Instructions
1. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2. Season steak cubes with salt and pepper.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak in a single layer and sear 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Stir in Italian seasoning and a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat.
7. Return steak bites to pan and toss everything together. Adjust seasoning as needed.
8. Garnish with parsley, Parmesan, or red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Use any short pasta like penne or rotini if shells aren’t available.
Make it creamy by stirring in 1/4 cup heavy cream with the garlic butter.
