Ingredients
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
1/4 cup finely chopped pickled jalapeños (or fresh for extra heat)
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
For the coating:
1/4 cup chopped bacon
1/4 cup chopped pecans or crushed crackers
1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, bacon, jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper.
2. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
3. Shape mixture into a ball using your hands or plastic wrap. Chill for 30 minutes.
4. In a shallow dish, mix the coating ingredients.
5. Roll the chilled cheese ball in the coating until evenly covered.
6. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with crackers, veggies, or pretzels.
Notes
Make a day ahead for even better flavor.
Use smoked gouda or pepper jack for cheese variation.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
