Ingredients
For the Chicken:
2 chicken breasts
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon paprika
For the Orzo:
1 cup orzo pasta
2 cloves garlic (minced)
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes (chopped)
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Optional:
Fresh basil
Chili flakes
Instructions
1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
4. Add orzo and toast lightly for 1–2 minutes.
5. Pour in chicken broth, cream, sun-dried tomatoes, and Italian seasoning.
6. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender.
7. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
8. Return chicken to the pan and coat with the sauce.
9. Garnish with fresh basil or chili flakes and serve warm.
Notes
Do not overcook orzo to keep texture perfect.
Use low heat when adding cream to avoid splitting.
Add spinach for extra greens.
