Ingredients
🟡 For the Cinnamon Rolls:
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
🟡 For the Maple Icing:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp pure maple syrup
1–2 tsp milk or cream (to thin)
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Optional:
Chopped pecans or walnuts for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Unroll the thawed puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface.
3. Brush melted butter over entire surface.
4. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over the buttered pastry.
5. Starting from the shorter side, roll pastry into a tight log. Slice into 6–8 equal pieces.
6. Place rolls flat-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
7. Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
8. While baking, whisk powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla to make icing.
9. Drizzle icing over warm rolls and top with chopped nuts if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra gooey filling, add a little maple syrup inside the roll before baking.
Puff pastry is best enjoyed fresh—reheat leftovers in the oven to re-crisp.
Try adding a dash of pumpkin spice or orange zest for a seasonal twist.
