  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

**For the filling:**

1 tbsp butter

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 cup diced onion

1/2 cup diced celery

1/2 cup diced carrots

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 cup seafood stock (or chicken broth)

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/2 lb cooked lobster meat, chopped

1/2 cup frozen peas

**For the topping:**

1 can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (or homemade)

1 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)

Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion, celery, and carrots for 5–6 minutes until softened.

3. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Sprinkle in flour and stir for 1 minute to form a roux.

4. Slowly whisk in seafood stock and then cream. Cook until thickened, about 3–4 minutes.

5. Season with Old Bay, salt, and pepper. Add shrimp, lobster, and peas. Cook for 2–3 minutes until shrimp are just pink.

6. Transfer mixture to a greased 9-inch pie dish or small casserole dish.

7. Top with biscuits in a single layer. Brush with melted butter.

8. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until biscuits are golden and filling is bubbly.

9. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Use frozen shrimp and lobster if fresh isn’t available—just thaw before cooking.

Make it in ramekins for individual servings.

Swap biscuits for puff pastry or pie crust if preferred.
