4 slices bacon (chopped)

1 small onion (chopped)

3 cloves garlic (minced)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon Creole seasoning

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Cook chopped bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy

2. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving some grease in the pan

3. Add onion and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes

4. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant

6. Add chopped cabbage to the skillet and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender
